Terms of membership and donation
These terms apply to any membership of the Aule System association and to any supporting donation made from this website. They are not a condition of access to the service: Aule remains free.
Who receives the payment, and in what capacity
AULE SYSTEM, association déclarée, régie par la loi du 1er juillet 1901 (a not-for-profit association declared under the French Act of 1 July 1901), RNA number W442032304, with its registered office in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique). The full identity of the publisher is given in the legal notice. The association is not-for-profit: it carries on no commercial activity and does not seek any distribution of profits.
What you get — and what you are not buying
Membership makes you a member of the association for the current financial year: you are invited to the general meeting and you vote at it, under the conditions laid down in the articles of association. A donation is a voluntary contribution, with no consideration of any kind in return. Neither one gives access to any additional feature, benefit or level of service: the app and the website remain accessible free of charge and on the same terms, whether or not you have joined.
Amounts and tax
Amounts are stated in euros and displayed before any confirmation. The membership fee is set by the association; the amount of a donation is at your discretion. As the association is not subject to value added tax for these transactions, no VAT is charged: amounts are net and no VAT invoice is issued for them.
How a membership or donation works
You choose the type of payment and its amount, check the summary, then confirm: this confirmation constitutes acceptance of these terms and a commitment to pay. Payment is processed by an authorised payment service provider: its identity is shown to you on the payment page, before you enter any bank details. The association does not collect, see or keep your bank details. A confirmation email is sent to you once the payment has been received.
Withdrawal
You have 14 days from the payment to withdraw from a membership or donation made online, without having to give any reason. Simply say so in writing to contact@aule.fr from the address used for the payment. The refund is made within 14 days of the request, using the original means of payment and free of charge. After this period, the membership fee for the current financial year remains with the association, except in the event of an error on its part — a double charge or an incorrect amount is refunded at any time upon simple notification.
Tax receipt
The association does not issue tax receipts and, to date, gives no entitlement to any tax reduction: this possibility requires public-interest status (intérêt général), which is established with the French tax authorities and which the association, recently created, has not yet had recognised. No payment should therefore be decided on the basis of a tax advantage. This page will be updated if the situation changes.
Loss of membership
Membership ends at the close of the financial year, by resignation sent in writing, or by expulsion pronounced under the conditions laid down in the articles of association. The end of membership does not give rise to a refund of the current membership fee and does not affect your access to the service, which remains free.
Your data
A payment requires the processing of your identity, your email address, the amount and the date. This information is used to keep the register of members, to support the association’s accounts and to invite you to the general meeting; accounting records are kept for ten years. Details are given in the privacy policy, and your rights may be exercised at contact@aule.fr.
Complaints and governing law
Any complaint should be sent to contact@aule.fr and will receive a reply within one month. These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, the dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the French courts; if you are acting as a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the court for the place where you live. These terms may be amended; the applicable version is the one published on this page on the day of the payment.
